The latest iterations of Steinberg’s music production software, Cubase Pro 10, Cubase Artist 10, and Cubase Elements 10, combine best audio quality and with a vast range of advanced audio and MIDI tools for composing, recording, editing and mixing music.

Cubase 10

HAMBURG, Germany — Steinberg today officially unveiled the highly anticipated release of the latest version of its award-winning DAW: Cubase 10.

Cubase Pro 10 brings all the technological advancements to the table, the German expertise of which has been accumulated over three decades of extraordinary contributions to the industry. Cubase Artist 10 is a slimmer edition, offering the same core technologies as Cubase Pro alongside many dedicated production tools. Instantly accessible, Cubase Elements 10 is the first step into the world of music production with Cubase.
“This version is a milestone in the innovational history of Cubase. With nearly 30 years to look back on, Cubase Pro 10 encompasses everything required from a DAW — no matter who you are, no matter what your background, no matter what your musical experience,” comments Matthias Quellmann, senior marketing manager for Cubase.

Cubase 10_Audio Alignment

Cubase Pro 10 exclusives
Available to Cubase Pro 10, VariAudio 3 is the perfect and eminently powerful pitch correction tool, introducing many enhancements for editing micro pitch levels and adjusting formant shifts. Another novelty is MixConsole Snapshots for saving and recalling a current mix within the mixer, or for creating and comparing alternate mixes of a project. Cubase Pro 10 also introduces Audio Alignment, a great new feature that allows users to align stacked recordings extremely fast so that vocal and other tracks are in complete sync. REVerence, the convolution reverb in Cubase Pro, includes now 20 new impulse responses, covering a range of vintage reverbs. Smaller feature additions and enhancements include AAF import/ export for exchanging data with different systems, improved editing to picture, and the Steinberg Virtual Reality production suite that offers tools for producing VR content.

Amazing additions to Pro and Artist
Both the Pro and Artist editions of Cubase 10 now include Distroyer, a remarkable addition to the list of effects processors that infuses asymmetric distortion. And side-chaining has also been touched on: new to both Pro and Artist is the simplified side-chain setup that completes the signal routing with only a few clicks. Since both editions feature the unique Note Expression capability, the next step now was to offer MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) support for multidimensional controllers.

Cubase 10_Channel Strip Tube

Family features for Pro, Artist and Elements
In all editions of version 10, the Channel Strip has undergone significant changes, featuring new metering elements in each module, providing immediate visual feedback and further facilitating the mixing process. Groove Agents SE 5, one of many impressive instruments within Cubase, boasts many enhancements to its user interface and comes with an abundance of new acoustic and electronic drum content. The audio engine has also been refined, now supporting 32-bit integer and 64-bit floating-point audio for recording, importing/exporting, and converting. Plug-ins have been redesigned and can now be dragged from the Media Rack and dropped directly into the project, creating an instrument track automatically, while the user interface supports HiDPI for high-resolution displays.

Cubase 10_Channel Strip Vintage
The additional content in Cubase 10 rounds out the extensive feature list: 5 GB of sounds and loops cover various genres, produced by renowned artists the likes of Florian Meindl, Rawtekk, Beat Butcha and many more.

Cubase 10_Full
Quellmann continues: “The audio engine in Cubase delivers pristine, unprecedented, ‘unheard-of’ quality: you’ll never hear the DAW, you won’t perceive unexpected coloring to your recordings, you’ll forget it’s even there — the sound quality is literally unheard of. The editing and production tools are amazing, providing a smooth, firm foundation for your creative input. The new aesthetics of the user interface ensures focused and expedited usability, while the production-grade content included within Cubase is not only fun to use but offers a great starting point to creating any style of music.
“With all the effort that we have put into this major iteration and considering the positive feedback from professional recording engineers and producers throughout its development, I assure that Cubase 10 pushes the envelope beyond the many expectations.”

WaveLab Audio Editing and Mastering Software with New Update

WaveLab Audio Editing and Mastering Software with New Update
The newly released iterations of Steinberg’s audio editing and mastering workstation, WaveLab Pro 9.5 and WaveLab Elements 9.5, combine best audio quality and smooth operation with an endless number of advanced tools for audio restoration, editing and mastering.

WaveLab Pro 9.5 & WaveLab Elements 9.5

HAMBURG, Germany — October 24, 2017 — This is another quantum leap forward in audio quality: Steinberg today announced the immediate availability of WaveLab Pro 9.5 and WaveLab Elements 9.5.
The electronic press kit for WaveLab Pro 9.5 and WaveLab Elements 9.5 is available at:
The new “point” updates of WaveLab focus on spectral editing, offering an overhauled Spectogram with many additional display settings that give a meticulous attention to frequency detail. Both Pro and Elements introduce RestoreRig, a new plug-in suite that boasts three modules: the DeNoiser, DeBuzzer and DeClicker. With its restoration toolset, RestoreRig detects and removes unwanted noise and audio artifacts in real time.
New spectral features exclusive to WaveLab Pro 9.5 include the brand-new Wavelet display that analyzes and displays musical content based on pitch scaling. The Spectrum Editor comes with many new selection tools, such as Lasso, Brush and Magic Wand, as well as additional processing capabilities the likes of spectral watermarking. Another highlight is the implementation of the Audio Inpainting technology into WaveLab, allowing users to remove unwanted noise from any audio material and then filling in the omission by analyzing the adjacent spectral information. The Error Correction toolset has been given some attention, making them overall easier accessible, while the included Live Spectrogram meter delivers real-time spectral information during playback and recording.
Alongside the many newly introduced spectral editing tools, WaveLab Pro 9.5 also offers an array of many more, very powerful plug-ins, either new or enhanced. WaveLab’s mastering plug-in suite, MasterRig, has been improved so as to include brand-new algorithms and other functionality, whereas the Tube Compressor, Vintage Compressor, Maximizer, AutoPan and several other plug-ins have been redesigned from the ground up. Two new Batch Processor plug-ins round out the extensive list of quality audio editing tools: the Audio Mixer inserts an audio file, e.g., a user’s individual audio watermark, into another audio file at defined intervals, ideal for creating demo versions of your audio publications; Delay Next Process Activation postpones processing when processes are triggered consecutively.
Both Pro and Elements versions have implemented support for the Apple Touch Bar, and also offer high DPI compatibility, making WaveLab look smooth on today’s high-resolution displays. User-requested enhancements and additions include the MP3 Gapless option, Bleep Censor Generator, iXML track name support and much more.
The new DDP Player complements the features introduced in WaveLab Pro 9.5 nicely. It is a standalone application with a separate installer that imports and plays back DDP images, allowing mastering studio clients to listen to the final version ready for publication.
Timo Wildenhain, senior marketing manager at Steinberg, commented: “Over two decades WaveLab has been committed to helping users maximize the full potential of their audio recordings. Now with WaveLab 9.5, we’ve gone the extra mile to provide dedicated tools for that extra bit of audio refinement, and consequently WaveLab delivers the best possible sound quality.”

Appena rilasciata la nuova update di DOrico 1.1 !!!

Experience the Future of Scoring in New Dorico 1.1 Update
Steinberg releases a significant update to its new professional scoring application, introducing advanced support for chord symbols, repeat endings, note spacing and much more.

HAMBURG, Germany — June 28, 2017 — The future of scoring gets considerably brighter today with the release of Dorico 1.1, a significant update to Steinberg’s new professional music notation software.
Dorico is the only scoring software that musicians can compose or arrange freely into: its deep knowledge of music theory ensures the music is always clearly and correctly notated, however complex it is and whatever changes are made to it. Dorico produces beautiful sheet music by default: designed by the most experienced notation software development team, Dorico is better at music engraving than almost any human. And Dorico is the only professional scoring program with an integrated piano roll MIDI editor and support for VST Expression.
The new Dorico 1.1 update provides a significant step forward in the application’s capability, building on the nearly 500 improvements already delivered in three previous updates since its launch in October 2016.
The electronic press kit for Dorico 1.1 is available at:
This release introduces sophisticated support for chord symbols. While chord symbols are added by playing a MIDI keyboard or typing on the computer, Dorico automatically writes chord symbols in any of six pre-set conventions, and lets users tweak the appearance using dozens of options. Dorico is also the only professional scorewriter to support polychords.
Other new features in Dorico 1.1 include:
• Piano pedaling with comprehensive support for advanced techniques — including partial pedaling, changing the pedal level over time and more;
• New repeat ending lines for 1st and 2nd time bars, perfectly positioned;
• Unique intelligent note spelling for MIDI step input, which automatically avoids common enharmonic errors during input;
• Expanded editing operations, allowing users to move dynamics, slurs, hairpins, octave lines and other notations easily with the mouse, intelligently snapping them to ideal positions;
• New selection features, allowing users to quickly select items of a certain kind for further editing;
• Comprehensive features for precise editing of rhythmic spacing, designed in consultation with experienced professional engravers;
• Expanded import and export features, allowing users to import music from other projects and MusicXML files into a current project, and export sections of a project in Dorico, MIDI, MusicXML and audio formats.
“We are excited to be delivering the features that are most often requested by our customers in this update, and we have done our best to ensure our implementations are better and easier to use than any other software,” said Daniel Spreadbury, product marketing manager for Dorico. “Dorico is already being used by professional musicians around the world, and we expect its newly expanded capabilities to help establish it as the scorewriter of the future.”

Cubase Pro 9_Packshot_retail_pure_transp_RGB_1300x2000Cubase Elements 9_Packshot_retail_pure_transp_RGB_1300x2000
