Unique functions
Perfect dynamic transitions thanks to phase alignment

Over a research period of several months, all samples have been fully aligned in phase. Accordingly, the instrument offers perfect seamless transitions of dynamic layers without sonic degradation.

Unique combination of short and long notes

The combination of long and short notes is a major problem in sample-libraries that often fail to deliver authentic sounding results. With real musical instruments, the note length often influences the attack behavior as well as the note end. Chris Hein – Solo Strings Complete addresses these aspects by its “Note Head Designer” which has been significantly expanded for this library. Each instrument offers a selection of 102 attack shapes. This allows calling up twelve matching short sample variations (Shorts) along with each sustain-articulation. These shorts not only offer the corresponding correct attack-behavior but also a note-end that perfectly matches the note length.

These user-defined selections of short-note-variations are available in eight dynamic layers each and can be combined with the corresponding sustained phases, leading to astonishing realistic results that cannot be achieved using random round-robin based selections. Of course, the shorts are also available as individual articulations.

The corresponding in-depth recordings and edits result in unexpected realistic sounds with perfect note-transitions. The performance-data of Chris Hein – Solo Strings Complete directly reflect the immense investment in recordings and configuration possibilities. Every instrument builds upon almost 10,000 single samples, 38 articulations and up to eight dynamic layers. This makes the library one of the most in-depth sampled Solo Strings currently available.

The custom-tailored user-interface of the Kontakt Player not only offers numerous functions to adapt the library’s sound character and articulations but also provides immense configuration choices to live up to specific demands and workflows. At the same time, due to pre-programmed key-switch-presets at the lower part of the keyboard, the library can also be effectively played without any need for deep edits. Thanks to four “Dynamic Modes”, the “Note-Head Designer”, “Key-Vibrato”, “Hot-Keys” and the revolutionary concept of articulation-presets, the user-interface will give you the impression to really play this instrument live.

Propellerhead dopo aver fatto un passo per certi versi ‘storico’ aprendo Reason definitivamente al mondo esterno con l’implementazione del supporto VST nella precedente versione 9.5, si concentra ora sui contenuti andando ad aggiungere nuovi importanti device, nuovi synth, instrument, sample e molto altro ancora.     

Reason 10 introduce due nuovi sintetizzatori di livello elevatissimo: Grain a sintesi granulare e Europa con sintesi wavetable. Ci sono poi tre nuovi instruments: Klang Tuned Percussion per le percussioni, Pangea World Instruments per la world music e Humana Vocal Ensemble dedicato alle voci. La nuova versione di Reason prevede più di 3GB di loop e sample con Loop Supply e Drum Supply e in aggiunta sono integrati nella nuova versione 10 due degli strumenti Rack Extension di maggiore successo: Radical Piano e Synchronous.

 

Reason già dalla precedente versione 9.5 consente di utilizzare i plugin VST in modo semplice e creativo con funzionalità come il ‘drag and drop’ direttamente dal browser, l’utilizzo di connessioni audio e CV con i plugin, la possibilità di suonarli in diversi modi mediante il modulo Players e di inserirli poi in catene di Combinator con i device di Reason o con le Rack Extensions, il tutto con plugin delay compensation.

 

Perfetto per il musicista e per il sound designer, Radical Piano risponde in modo molto naturale e realistico e dispone anche di un ingresso audio per il routing del segnale con la possibilità di ottenere interessanti effetti creativi. Synchronous è un plug-in di modulazione estremamente creativo che offre effetti ritmicamente sincronizzati per esaltare le produzioni con Reason. Con gli strumenti per le forme d’onda inclusi, si possono creare effetti come Distortion, Filter, Reverb, Delay e Level.

Vocal Codex is the perfect addition to Era II Medieval Legends of 2015. It completes this extraordinary medieval-library by adding authentic sounding solo voices. Eduardo Tarilonte, creator of several award-winning libraries such as Forest Kingdom, Desert Winds, Epic World and Shevannai, has recorded a blistering extensive library of historic singing voices with incredibly convincing sound quality, creating the perfect addition to Era II.

Vocal Codex takes the moods and sound aesthetics of the medieval and bygone times to the production environment of the digital audio workstation. The carefully designed user interface of the Engine player facilitates working with the library, allowing the voices of Vocal Codex to inspire and fully unfold the musicians’ creativity.

ERA II Lady

Vocal Codex contains over 14,000 samples with a total amount of 8.5 gigabytes of data. The detailed recordings comprise two male and two female solo voices. By offering five true legato vowels (A, E, I, O, U) per voice, velocity-sensitive triggering of syllables and extensive controller navigation, realizing utterly lifelike vocal phrases becomes possible. In addition, 30 inspiring soundscapes have been added to round up Vocal Codex with corresponding atmospheric sounds.

The library scores with extensive multi-samples, several dynamic layers, various articulations and true legato samples.

From its collieries, through its jazz clubs, amongst the hundreds of pit bands, sitting proudly abreast at the Proms in the Albert Hall, through symphonic concerts to countless chamber spaces; The British Brass tradition runs through our country and culture like spinal fluid. Spitfire set about creating a definitive showcase of British Brass talent, a doomsday time capsule of this fine tradition.
Whilst there are many great orchestras around the world, there’s just something about British brass that keeps composers coming back, sometimes under the cover of darkness to record illicit “overdubbing” sessions in London. It is the rare combination of the colliery, jazz, West End and classical traditions that produce this swaggering melting pot of rarefied individuals.
Having already recorded a full brass choir for the infamous Spitfire ‘bespoke’ range. Paul, Christian, Stanley and the Spitfire team set about a longer term project to capture this spirit, the spine of our musical culture, for the world to share and celebrate.
